III Ministerial Meeting of the Group of Friends in Defense of the UN Charter

The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Member States to the Group of Friends in Defense of the UN Charter held their Third Meeting on 22 September 2022, at the Headquarters of the Permanent Mission of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the United Nations. At that time, they undertook an assessment of recent developments in the international arena, including of challenges and threats to the Charter of the United Nations, which continues to underpin multilateralism. They also engaged in an interactive dialogue in which they exchanged views on existing, new and emerging issues of collective concern and common interest. They adopted a broad Political Declaration reflecting upon multiple issues relevant to the work of the Group of Friends.
