Meeting of the Group of Friends in Defense of the UN Charter, at the Deputy Permanent Representatives and Political Coordinators-level, in preparation for the III Ministerial Meeting of the Group

The Deputy Permanent Representatives and Political Coordinators of the Member States to the Group of Friends in Defense of the UN Charter met on 11 August 2022, at the Headquarters of United Nations, in order to discuss preparations for the III Ministerial Meeting of the Group of Friends, scheduled for September 2022, on the margins of the High-Level Segment of the 77th Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations. They discussed at that time, among others, potential elements to be included in the Political Declaration to be submitted to the consideration of the Foreign Ministers of the Group, as well as potential agenda items under which the Group could deliver joint statements throughout the main part of the 77th Session of the UN General Assembly, particularly within the framework of the Main Committees.
